Sex worker to Office Worker....Not the world's easiest transition...

Having been involved in the sex industry since the tender age of 20, I'll not pretend my recent departure from it and into regular work was an easy one...the most notable difference being my hourly take home. Now I'm not saying that I do (or ever did) enjoy having sex with strange men for money..and let's face it, how many "escorts", or sex workers do you know that would be doing the job if they were not being paid?? I think we can safely say VERY FEW.
But the truth is that when I started out as a single mum of 20 on social security the financial rewards from prostitution were huge. It winds me up no end the crap that gets written about the sex trade, very often portraying it as some glamourous, and romantic subculture...Forget Catherine Deneuve in Belle de Jour, and all the other fake, stereotypical, romanticisms which are completely unrealistic and designed only to titillate men: when is a working girl going to actually have the balls the write about the sex trade as it really is, warts and all...the condoms that split, people you don't even fancy tonguing your clitoris, the punters that book then don't bother to cancel, the 4am calls from horny, coked -up dickheads that just happen to expect you to be available to come round and shag them, the smutty texters, the large number of people in varying degrees of mental ill health and poor personal hygiene, and the guys with smelly willys that expect you to suck them off without a condom.. GLAMOUROUS IT AIN'T....XX

Entering my 8th year...Good God where does the time go?

My name is C* and I've been a sex worker for nearly 8 years, and in more recent times I have worked in Ireland, but specifically Dublin. I get my customers from the so called "Escort" websites that are run from places like Belfast in order to get around Irish laws on this issue. As I'm sure the more savvy people amongst you are probably aware, sites advertising "Escort" services are in fact advertising sex for sale. The word "Escort" is a total euphemism in most cases. Gone are the days of the high class courtesan, or Escort, who was typically a refined, well educated lady selcted as much for breeding and intellect as anything else. Such women often commanded fees of up to four figures for a simple dinner date. However, the expansion of the E.U., which saw an influx of Eastern European women, very often charging half the rates of the established escorts saw the High Class Escort scene virtually collapse as they could not compete with so much cheaper competition. No, in today's sex market, particularly here in Dublin, the order of the day is a visit to one of the girls on the site, who will typically be in a hotel or private apartment. Unlike the UK, sites advertising and promoting prostitution are illegal here, so they are all hosted outside of the republic.
Most of the girls on the sites will be visiting Dublin and other Irish cities toply their trade for a few days, and will then move on to the next place. Like me, a lot of the girls advertised on these sites are Australian, and there are also English, Scottish, East European, Latin American, and African. You will find many east europeans advertising as being Scandinavian also. You name it, it's there, and the sex trade in Dublin is booming. When I first arrived in Dublin in 2008 I did so at the behest of a man named Peter*, a friendly sounding local guy who had seen an ad which I dubiously posted announcing a planned "tour" to Dublin. I had posted the ad just to put out the feelers and suss whether there would be much demand for my services over the Irish Sea...and Blimey O'Reilly was I in for a shock..
From the first instant I arrived in Dublin as a 26 year old student operating under the name of Cristina* the demand for my sexual services was constant. The cheap mobile I had purchased with the pay as you go Irish SIM card I had bought on e-bay hardly stopped ringing, and I don't think I have ever done so much shagging in a 48 hour period as I did on that first visit to Dublin..
I just couldn't believe it...
And I have to say thank you to Peter for being so helpful on that first ever visit, because he really helped me out, even driving me to a booking in Ranelagh...If you reading this Peter, a big Thank You xx
